Shanghai Sunrise has built its success on the strength of its volunteers.  Over the years, Shanghai Sunrise has had the support of many Shanghai local and expat community members, whether for short term, one-time help or for more structured long-term commitment to achieve its goals.  Shanghai Sunrise encourages its volunteers to have a rewarding experience by assisting in helping underprivileged local Shanghai students attend High School and University.  While our volunteers don't directly work alongside students in the school system, we provide the financial support that makes their school experience possible. 

We need volunteers who can help with administration, translation, producing newsletters, organizing events and fundraising, website maintenance and help with the library enrichment program.  We find that we have high demand for some of these skills, in particular translation, so even if you can only help out at certain times of the year, that may be just the time we need you!  Volunteers are always welcome at Shanghai Sunrise and we can find a use for most skills.  Do you like writing? Are you high tech savvy? Are you good at team building/event organizing? Feeling creative? Get involved with our cards committee who make our fundraising Christmas/holiday and greeting cards!

There’s space for everyone who wishes to dedicate some time to our Shanghai children by offering what he/she’s really good at.
