“We believe that education is the key to success for everyone”. By we Denise Firoozi is referring to herself and her husband Shah. Sharing this belief is the main reason why for the last nine years they have been sponsoring Shanghai Sunrise students.
Through their personal generous contribution and by involving PAC Global - the company that the couple founded in 1985-, nine Chinese children have been able to receive the education that is putting them on the right path for success. But there are other reasons why the Firoozis became sponsors. Denise says she feels a strong responsibility to give back to a city and a country that has contributed so much to both their family and their professional life.

Sharing her Sunrise experience with her employees and giving them the opportunity to give back to their own community was the next step for Denise. PAC Global employees would volunteer at pairing ceremonies and meet Sunrise students. From such an event comes one of the most rewarding moments of her sponsorship time “[our employees] were really touched by the experience and they didn’t realize that in their own community people were in need of help. They loved sharing their own time” says Denise.

She advises anyone considering sponsoring to just go for it “if you have enjoyed the benefits that China has given to us, it is just human to give back, get your kids, get your company and get yourself involved”
