Dream destination and new take off.
University graduate Zhao XiuQin finds the job she¡äs been studying hard to achieve.

Zhao XiuQin

In 1997, 9 year old Zhao Xiu Qin of Hong Kou was taken under the wing of Shanghai Sunrise and has since been sponsored through middle, high school and university to finally graduating, 11 years later, from the Shanghai Institute of Health Sciences Laboratory Science in 2009.
In a recent spontaneous thank you letter she tells Sunrise about her long journey and the fulfillment of her dreams. We think it speaks for itself of the joy an educational sponsorship can bring. Thanks again to everyone for giving this opportunity to our Sunrise students!

¡°Dear Sponsors:
How are you doing? Hope you are all doing fine. I am writing to you to show my appreciation for your kindness. You offering me the Sunrise scholarship and supporting me to finish my university education last year has been a very big help. Thank you very much.
This is the last year of my university life. I¡¯m very happy to tell you that I have got a job at a hospital- such an important place. My major is Laboratory Science, so in my day-to-day job I will be drawing blood and testing the specimens. I¡¯m using the knowledge learned in college to serve others, helping patients and learning more about medical treatment. Having started with an internship, I¡¯ve learnt a lot already: how to make patients happier; how to reduce patients¡¯ pain; how to focus on my job in every minute and how to be patient¡

With my school efforts and the practical experiences of my internship, I found this job, working in a nice hospital. I am so happy and feel so lucky to work there. It is not a big hospital, but it is a really nice one. It is my dream to work here and be able to help others. When I was a little girl, I often dreamt of working as a doctor, saving people¡¯s lives. I wanted to help people myself. Now, I¡¯m working as a test doctor, called the ¡°doctor's eyes¡±. £Éthink I can be a pair of ¡°good eyes¡± in my daily job, offering better and better service to patients and those who need help.

I want you to know that it¡¯s you who have made a little girl¡¯s dream come true. I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. Perhaps you have helped a lot of people and I am just one of them. But for me and my family, you are very important. We miss you and appreciate your help. All I can do now is use my own efforts, acquire more knowledge, help more people and do well for society. Without your help, maybe nothing in my life would have become like this.

I want to thank you again: thank you for your help, thank you for your kindness and thank you for what you¡¯ve done.
Thank you.

Yours Sincerely,
Zhao xiu qin ¡°
